located 4.5 kilometres south of Caldbeck it is the most northerly of the Lakeland fells over 2000 feet. Simply leave our glamping barns and follow the Cumbrian Way up to High Pike. Allow 3 hours from start to finish!
The fell's name means "Rock Fell", from the Cumbric carrec, meaning a rock, and Old Norse fjall, meaning a fell. Can be taken in by extending your walk from High Pike! Maps are provided in each barn.
Whilst on Carrock Fell make sure you visit "The Arch"
Probably one of the most Instagrammable or selfie installations in the Northern Fells!! Designed by a well known local photographer and new for 2021 #thearch
Small fell that is situated in the high ground known as the Uldale Fells, 5.5 kilometres south west of the village of Caldbeck. One of our personal favourites as the views on a clear day are breathtaking!
A fell that is regarded as part of the Caldbeck Fells along with High Pike and Carrock Fell even though it has ridge links to the Uldale Fells. The fell's name has Scottish overtones and translates from the Scots language as a hillside or slope. Combine this walk including Longlands!
Detached from the rest of the Lakeland hills, and thus provides a good spot to look out at the Northern and North Western Fells of the Lake District, as well as the coastal plain and, across the Solway Firth, Scotland and Snaefell on the Isle of Man is also visible on a clear day. It is the northernmost of the Wainwrights.
And there`s more...
All within a 10 minute drive to start your walk..Don`t forget to bring your map from the barns!

Passing Lingy Hut Bothy you have the final climb to High Pike. This is the only time you ever peak a summit on the entire route. Weather permitting you will have fantastic views across the Solway & to Scotland.
The descent from High Pike brings you to our charming village. We will always try to accomodate walkers on The C. Way. Whenever possible try to travel with a tent & sleeping bag as there is a greater chance we can put you up.
